There are different ways in which you can make your logo attractive. The basic purpose of your logo is to draw the attention of the viewers and register itself in their memory so that they can easily recognize the brand whenever they see it in the future. It’s indeed a tough task to come up with a logo that will actually serve this purpose. If you’re allowed to use very complex designs with a more complex theme and a wide range of colors in the color palette, you will actually find it easy to design such a logo. However, logos have to be as simple as possible because people must remember them easily. All the popular logos are very simple ones, some of which can even be easily drawn such as Reebok’s Vector, Nike’s Swoosh, and so on. Also, the colors used in these logos are easily remembered. This tells us that we must also focus on the colors used in the logo.

What colors attract people most?

There are various kinds of colors you can use on your logo. In fact you’re left with a wide variety of choices when it comes to the colors used in logos. It’s truly confusing as to what colors to pick because most of the shades appear attractive at first sight. To decide what colors will be effective, let’s look at the trend. The latest trend that is rocking the market is flat colors. Flat colors help you get the attention of viewers easily. Also, these aren’t purely pastel colors and so you can also use these colors for very professional websites. Plus, these colors appeal more than the usual colors that were used in the past.

Again, there are several flat colors available and which ones should you pick? It is not easy to decide on the colors. The combination that appears attractive now may not be so appealing after a few days. Therefore, take some time to decide on the colors. It is only a matter of time to know what combinations are appealing. Plus, you also have the responsibility of projecting a professional image if need be. Equipped with various color generators, you might be at a loss now with so many colors popping up with different combinations.

I have something to show you from the past. Taking the leading brands as examples, let’s see what trend they follow. You will find that they haven’t used more than three colors. Most of these leading brands use two primary colors and an accent color. Feeling relieved? But still the challenge is difficult to face. It’s because there are various accent colors that could go well with the primary colors you’ve chosen. Therefore, use the accent color with a lot of care so that you choose the right shade that will perfectly complement the two primary colors on your palette.

Plus, you will want to have in mind what you want to achieve with your logo: a change in mood, just grab attention, establish a cause, and so on. Colors like lilac, mild blue, pink, and the like are good mood enhancers. Therefore, if this is what you want to achieve through your logo, then you know what to choose. If your primary goal is just to grab attention and you have other tools to take care of the rest of the process, you could go for bright colors like red, dark shades of blue, and more. Whereas businesses that are looking for colors that will establish a cause in the minds of people will have to be more careful with the colors they choose. The answer lies in the nature of the cause itself. It depends on how compelling the cause is.

These are some of the ways in which you can decide which colors go on your logo to make it attractive and appealing to viewers. Spend at least a few days researching the different color combinations before deciding on a palette.
